Crime News: In Sangrur, a father strangled his 9 year old daughter to death. The accused was the stepfather of the deceased. The girl's mother and maternal grandparents allege that the accused did not like the girl, due to which he carried out this incident.
The deceased's grandmother Sunita told that her daughter had married the accused Sandeep Goyal for the second time. He had a daughter from his first marriage named Maanvi.
The girl's mother Neha told that on September 28, her daughter had gone skating with her stepfather. When he returned home late at night, the girl was unconscious. When he was taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead. But the accused had already fled from there.
The police have registered a case based on the statement of the girl's mother, although the accused is absconding.
The deceased's mother Neha told that this was his second marriage. But the accused did not like the daughter. As usual, the accused father took his daughter for skating. When both of them did not return even till 7 pm, Neha called her husband and asked why they had not come yet. To this the accused replied that the girl still has to get geometry done. We will reach there soon.
When both of them did not reach home even after an hour, Neha called again, this time the accused said that we are roaming around, it will take some more time. Then at around 9.30 the woman called again and the accused father called and said that he does not know what has happened to Manvi.
