BCE: BCCI has inaugurated a new Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. It is equipped with world-class facilities, which is completely different from the old National Cricket Academy. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah inaugurated the BCE. This new NCA is spread over 40 acres and will now be the hub of cricket in India.
The Center of Excellence will have a total of three fields and 86 pitches. It will have both indoor and outdoor pitches, so that players can practice in any weather. This center is equipped with modern facilities for the players to hone their talent.
What are the features of the new NCA (BCE)?
- Ground A will be the main playing field.
- There will be a red clay pitch of Mumbai here.
- The ground will have state-of-the-art floodlights and broadcasting facilities.
- Practice facilities will be available on Grounds B and C.
- There will be a boundary of 75 yards.
- It will have 11 pitches of Mandya soil and 9 pitches of black cotton soil.
- The ground has been designed like an English county ground.
- 45 outdoor net pitches have been made here for practice.
- Six outdoor running tracks have been built.
- Along with cricket players, sportspersons will also get facilities.
Dressing room will be 3 thousand square feet
The BCCI Center of Excellence will have a 3 thousand square feet dressing room, massage room, kit room and relaxation room. Apart from this, there will also be a big press conference area. There will be a VIP lounge and dining area here. Apart from this, along with Indian players, athletes will also be able to avail the benefits of sports science and medical facilities.
