Cow protection: Yogi government freed more than 27 thousand hectares of grazing land from encroachment – ​​News India Live | News India

Lucknow, 28 September (Hindustan Reporter). Taking a big step towards cow conservation in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has freed thousands of hectares of grazing land from illegal encroachers. Following the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Revenue Department has launched a special campaign and freed more than 27 thousand hectares of pasture land from illegal encroachers.

Under this campaign, 100 percent grazing land in 12 districts of the state has now become encroachment free. At the same time, instructions have been given by the Chief Minister to carry forward the campaign rapidly in other districts also. Most of all, in Ayodhya, more than 2 thousand hectares of land was encroached upon by illegal encroachers, which has been freed.

According to the information given by the Revenue Department, apart from Ayodhya, more than 27 thousand 688 hectares of land was freed from encroachment in Agra, Firozabad, Kasganj, Barabanki, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharthnagar, Chitrakoot, Shravasti, Rampur, Ghazipur and Varanasi.

Along with this, the Chief Minister has instructed the concerned officers of the districts to prepare a village wise list of Gochar land. After the rains, a massive campaign should be launched to free the pasture land from encroachment. After being free from encroachment, the land should be used by the Animal Husbandry Department.

Chief Minister Yogi has also given instructions to make an actual assessment of destitute cows in urban and rural areas and to construct additional sheds in cow shelter sites. There should be proper arrangements for cleanliness of cow shelters; situation of mud and waterlogging should not arise anywhere. There should be proper arrangement of straw, green fodder, water etc. in all shelter places. There should be arrangements for burying the dead cattle with respect and proper procedure.
