Dehradun, 28 September (HS). The Chief Minister launched a website of Overseas Uttarakhand Cell in the Secretariat on Saturday. Through the website, migrants will get information about various policies, programs and activities of the state government. The website of Overseas Uttarakhand Cell has been prepared through ITDA. The Chief Minister directed to organize a big conference of migrant Uttarakhandis living abroad and in different states.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officials that on the occasion of the proposed Migrant Uttarakhand Day on 7 November 2024, a grand conference should be organized in Dehradun by inviting the migrants living in different states of the country. He said that everyone has a connection with their motherland. It is the effort of the state government to seek the cooperation of the migrants of Uttarakhand for the development of the state and to provide them every possible support to connect with their motherland. He said that the migrants of our Uttarakhand have created their own identity in the country and the world on the basis of their work. He said that we should have regular contact with all the people of Uttarakhand living in the country and the world. Our endeavor is to be a partner in every happiness and sorrow.
Chief Minister Dhami launched a website www.pravasiuttarakhandi.uk.gov.in. He instructed to keep the database of all migrant Uttarakhands living abroad updated on this website. He said that the way our migrant brothers and sisters are welcomed during their trips abroad clearly reflects their attachment to their ancestral land and their connection with their culture.
It is noteworthy that the objective of the State Government's website www.pravasiuttarakhandi.uk.gov.in is to reach out to the Uttarakhandis residing in different countries and different regions of India, to connect them with their motherland, to share their expertise, experience and knowledge in development. To take advantage of financial capabilities and to honor immigrants with notable achievements. For the convenience of expatriates living abroad, links to the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India and their important schemes are also given in the website. The cell has collected contact details of expatriate organizations and eminent expatriates working within the country and abroad from various sources. So far, contact has been established with migrant Uttarakhandis living in 18 countries.
