Three years imprisonment to the culprit in kidnapping case | News India

Ranchi, 28 September (Hindustan Reporter). The court of Special Judge Asif Iqbal of POCSO case on Saturday sentenced the accused Monjurul alias Mohd. Manjeer Alam has been sentenced to three years imprisonment. Besides, a fine of Rs 15,000 has been imposed on him.

If he does not pay, he will have to spend an additional six months in jail. The court has acquitted the accused of rape charges. A resident of Hindpiri had lodged an FIR in 2019 at Hindpiri police station regarding the incident. The accused was accused of kidnapping and raping a minor with the intention of marrying her. The investigating officer had also filed a charge sheet in the same case. During the hearing, the court found him guilty only in kidnapping and sentenced him.
