Ranchi, 28 September (Hindustan Reporter). Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that our government is making efforts to give respect to the people of the state by connecting them with various welfare schemes. Today, officials of all departments including the Welfare Department are working hard here. Welfare Department is a very big department, which takes care of people from city to village.
The Chief Minister was addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony, appointment letter and asset distribution program of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Transnational Scholarship organized at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi on Saturday. He said that our poor people do not get anything easily and the policies made till now for them were not effective. Schemes were made in the previous government, but the poor have not been able to benefit from them. Our government has realized this for a long time and we have always seen this. Our government has designed public welfare schemes in such a way that all of you can directly benefit from them.
The Chief Minister said that I have said earlier also and I say it even today that this is a government run from the village and not from the Ranchi headquarters. There are such villages in the state where people have not seen the block officers but now times are changing. Now officials from block office and district to headquarters are going to Panchayat-Panchayat, village-to-village, door-to-door, solving your problems and giving you the benefits of state government schemes. Now times have changed.
All eligible people got the benefit of Sarvajan Pension Scheme
The Chief Minister said that after the formation of the present state government, many challenges were before us. Two important years were spent in a pandemic like Corona. When life started becoming normal, camps were organized in your village and panchayat and district and block officials listened to your problems and solved them. Now the real information about the village started coming to the state government through the program “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” in village, panchayat, tola. There are many problems. The poor always face problems. Our government started solving those problems one by one and under this, the first step was to provide support to the old age people of the state through the program “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar”. The work of giving pension to every old age, widow woman and disabled person was done. It became the first state in the country, where all the needy are being given the benefit of Sarvajan Pension Scheme.
Empowering women economically with respect
Soren said that under “Jharkhand Chief Minister Mainiyan Samman Yojana”, every sister and mother who has completed 18 years of age is getting the benefit of the scheme. Along with honoring the women power of the state, our government is strengthening it economically. Many competitive examinations are being organized to provide jobs to the youth of the state. For the interests of the tribals and indigenous people of the state, our government passed the Sarna Dharmacode from the Jharkhand Assembly and sent it to the Central Government but it was put on hold.
The Chief Minister said that the local policy made by our government has been eclipsed. Our government gave respect to women. Children were given exams for jobs. Why did the previous governments not do this? Jharkhand is the only state in this country where we are trying to open such a path for the poor to get food, clothing, shelter and education for their children, which will prove to be a milestone in the future.
The number of students benefiting from overseas scholarship will increase
The Chief Minister said that today the youth have come here to pursue higher education abroad. Approval letters are being provided to them. The youth should tell us which is the state in the country where higher education is being given abroad on 100% scholarship. I did not know that the youth of this state have so much eagerness for higher education. At first we kept the number of students low but children started coming in large numbers and then the number was increased. Many children came back after studying. Many got employment there.
Will give permanent houses to 20 lakh houseless families
The Chief Minister said that the state government, with its own resources, is providing three-room permanent houses to 20 lakh houseless families of Jharkhand under the Abua Awas Yojana. The Chief Minister said that the previous governments have not done justice even to the farmers of the state. Our government has now done the work of waiving off agricultural loans of up to Rs 2 lakh of the farmers here. The state government is providing 200 units of electricity free of cost to the electricity consumers of Jharkhand while the old electricity bills have also been waived off.
