Bhopal, 28 September (HS). Rain continues in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. At some places it is raining lightly and at other places it is raining heavily. The rainy season continued on Friday also. Water fell in 23 districts. The weather changed in Bhopal in the afternoon and it started raining heavily. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in the next 24 hours in Shivpuri, Guna and Niwari. At the same time, there are chances of drizzle in Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior-Jabalpur.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be sunshine in Anuppur, Dindori and Balaghat on Saturday. At the same time, there will be light rain and thundershowers in other districts of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain. The Meteorological Department said that due to monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation, there is a period of rain in Madhya Pradesh. The system is affecting the western part of the state. This system will move ahead, hence there will be rain in some districts in the next 24 hours.
On Friday, water fell in Barwani, Tikamgarh, Mandsaur, Narmadapuram, Guna, Chhindwara, Mandla, Naugaon, Rewa, Sagar, Seoni, Sidhi, Umaria, Malajkhand, Betul, Dhar, Guna, Gwalior, Indore, Khandwa, Pachmarhi. Due to rain, the dams and ponds of the state are overflowing again. Many dams and ponds were filled with water on Friday. This season, 200 out of 250 dams in the state have been full. There are many dams including Bargi, Banganga, Omkareshwar, Indira Sagar, Tawa, Kaliyasot, Kerava, Bhadbhada, whose gates have been opened 6 to 10 times or more in the season.
