MSP to farmers of Haryana: Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly and Congress observer for Haryana Assembly elections Pratap Singh Bajwa on Friday said that if the Congress party forms the government, then there will be no MSP on the crops grown in the state. Bajwa addressed a massive election rally in Kaliyanwali in favor of Congress party candidate and sitting MLA Sheeshpal Keharwal. Senior Congress leader and Sirsa MP Kumari Shailaja was also present there. Addressing meetings in Kalianwali and Raniya assembly constituencies of Haryana, Bajwa assured that the Haryana Congress is committed to fulfilling its seven major guarantees.
Senior Congress leader Bajwa said that to empower women and equip them with financial independence, the Congress government will give a stipend of Rs 2000 per month to women in the age group of 18 to 60 years.
He said that the Congress government will provide gas cylinders to women for Rs 500 as the Congress government is doing in Rajasthan. Under social security, we will give Rs 6,000 as old age pension, disability pension and widow pension and restore the old pension scheme.
Bajwa said that to give a secure future to the youth, we will provide 2 lakh secure jobs. There are many vacancies which the government is not filling.
He said that we have prepared a strategy to provide free electricity up to 300 units and free health services up to Rs 25 lakh. Similarly, for the poor section of the society, we will provide a 100 yard plot and a two-room house for Rs 3.5 lakh.
Bajwa finally said that the Indian National Congress had raised the issue of caste census in Parliament and had promised it during the Lok Sabha election campaign and it would be ensured in Haryana after the Congress came to power.
