World Tourism Day: Tourists welcomed with tilak and garland | News India

Jaipur, 27 September (Hindustan Reporter). On Friday, on World Tourism Day, domestic and foreign tourists were welcomed as per Rajasthani tradition at the tourist places and museums of the capital. Tourists were welcomed by applying tilak and garlanding them. People were given free entry to tourist places. On this occasion, Rajasthani folk color is spread at all the tourist places of the city including Amer Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar. Foreign tourists were also seen dancing with Kalbelia artists. At all these tourist places, attractive presentations like Kalbelia dance, Kachchi Ghodi dance, puppet dance, impersonation, Shehnai playing etc. were given by the folk artists from the morning itself. This year's World Tourism Day was celebrated by the department on the theme of Tourism and Peace.

Tourism Commissioner Vijaypal Singh said that on the occasion of World Tourism Day, many programs are being organized by the department, the main program under the series of these programs is the cultural evening to be organized at Albert Hall. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari attended it as the chief guest. In this cultural evening organized at Albert Hall, the audience got to see the Jugalbandi of traditional Kathak of Jaipur Gharana and Rajasthani folk dances. During this cultural evening adorned with unique choreography, Kalbelia and Ghoomar dance performances were also given. On this occasion, the virtual inauguration of Marwar Hall of RTDC Jodhpur was done by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari.

He said that the Tourism Department organizes many such programs from time to time to attract domestic and foreign tourists towards the state tourism, so that they can experience the folk art, culture and hospitality of Rajasthan and take back indelible souvenirs from Rajasthan. Can return to their states and countries.

Deputy Director of the department, Upendra Singh Shekhawat, said that on the occasion of Tourism Day, a cleaning campaign was conducted on the Sagar of Amer with the aim of creating awareness about the heritage of Jaipur and promoting eco-tourism. A large number of people and volunteers participated in it. Along with this, a seminar on tourism and tourism was organized in Amer Palace. The main objective of the seminar is to explore innovation and new possibilities in tourism of Amer Palace and to discuss measures related to increasing the number of tourists.

On the occasion of World Tourism Day, there was free entry for tourists at all the tourist places in the capital. Due to free entry, tourists also came in large numbers to see the tourist places.
