Haridwar, September 27 (HS). In the case of luring a 16-year-old girl, Additional District Judge-FTSC Chandramani Rai sentenced the accused youth Shahrukh to three years rigorous imprisonment. Also imposed a fine of Rs 20 thousand. Whereas co-accused Mobin was acquitted due to lack of evidence.

Government advocate Bhupendra Chauhan said that on May 28, 2021, a minor girl had gone missing from Ranipur area. Despite extensive searches, the missing teenager was not found. At the same time, the family members of the missing teenager came to know that Shahrukh and his friend had seduced the girl and taken her with them. The girl's father had filed a case against Shahrukh son of Mahmood and his friend Mobin son of Muzammil, resident of village Dadupur Kotwali Ranipur. Police arrested both of them from Indira Chowk Saharanpur and recovered the girl. The police issued challan to both of them and sent them to jail. The government side presented 10 witnesses and the defense side presented one witness. The victim girl had told the police that Shahrukh had called her outside the colony at night after giving intoxicating pills to his family members and putting them to sleep. From there he was taken to Saharanpur and lodged with the relatives of co-accused Mobeen.
