Jodhpur, 27 September (Hindustan Reporter). Like every year, this year too World Tourism Day was celebrated with great pomp. On this occasion, the tourism department traditionally welcomed the domestic and foreign tourists coming to visit Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Tourists were given free entry in the same government museums.
On the occasion of World Tourism Day, cultural presentations were given by folk artists at Sardar Government Museum and Mandore Government Museum to show the importance of cultural heritage. This program was an important medium to introduce local and international tourists to the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. Along with this, there was free entry in all the protected monuments and museums of the state, due to which tourists enjoyed the historical and cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
Students of Lucky Bal Niketan Senior Secondary School located in Kamla Nehru Nagar visited Mandore and Public Park Museum on World Tourism Day. In Mandore Museum, students saw many important objects related to the glorious history of Marwar. The ancient sculptures, inscriptions and historical heritage of Rajput period displayed in the museum made the students aware of the rich culture of the past. Got many information related to natural sciences in Public Park Museum. On this occasion, students increased their knowledge by acquiring new information. Coordinator Dr. Seema Sharma said that this type of educational tour creates awareness about history and culture among the students.
