Dharamshala, 27 September (Hindustan Reporter). The much awaited 'Kangra Valley Carnival' of district Kangra, encompassing different colors of culture, will begin on September 28 at the Police Ground in Dharamshala. Agriculture Minister Prof. Chandra Kumar will inaugurate the carnival with a grand procession. Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that the procession will be taken out from the Deputy Commissioner's office premises and will conclude at the venue of the event, Police Ground, Dharamshala. Local artists in traditional costumes will participate in the procession. Kangra Valley Carnival will be organized at Police Ground, Dharamshala from 28th September to 13th October and Kangra Valley will be drenched in different colors of culture through cultural evenings from 28th September to 2nd October.
Chief Minister will conclude, Agriculture Minister will start
DC said that while participating as the chief guest in the fifth and last cultural evening of Kangra Valley Carnival on October 2, the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will conclude the cultural evenings. On September 28, with a grand procession, Agriculture Minister Prof. Chandra Kumar will inaugurate the Kangra Valley Carnival and will be the chief guest of the first cultural evening. In the second cultural evening, Tourism Development Corporation Chairman (Cabinet Rank) Raghubir Singh Bali, in the third cultural evening, State Planning Board Vice Chairman (Cabinet Rank) Bhawani Singh Pathania will participate as the chief guest. AYUSH Minister Yadavindra Goma will attend the fourth cultural evening as the chief guest.
Famous artists will create a stir
Inviting to participate in this carnival being celebrated in Dharamshala, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa has called upon all the people to participate in the Kangra Valley Carnival. He said that this time in the cultural evenings, along with the drone show, Kerala's multi-genre music band Thai Kudam will also spread the colors of music, while NZCC artists along with Himachal and Bollywood artists will also be given a platform. According to the Deputy Commissioner, in the first cultural evening on September 28, Punjabi singer Manindra Butter will perform as a star artist, on September 29, Bollywood artist Gajendra Verma and in the cultural evening on September 30, Himachal artists will be given an opportunity.
Along with this, Rashmeet Kaur will perform as a star artist on October 1 and Kerala's multi genre music band Thai Kudam and Drone Show will be organized on October 2. On this day, Himachal's famous comedian Vishal Sharma, known as Insane Comic, will also entertain people. The Deputy Commissioner said that a fashion show is also being organized in collaboration with NIFT Kangra.
This will be the main attraction
Deputy Commissioner said that this year camel riding and hot air balloon will also be the main attractions of the carnival. He informed that Millets Festival and Craft Bazaar will also be organized in Kangra Valley Carnival. Stalls related to handicrafts and crafts will be set up. Along with this, various activities will also be organized for women and youth along with providing space to local self-help groups to sell their products.
