Siliguri, 26 September (HS). 22 police personnel were honored on Thursday by the Siliguri Police Commissionerate. Siliguri Police Commissioner C. Sudhakar honored all the police personnel.

After the incident, the police personnel of Matigara police station engaged in the investigation took immediate action and arrested the accused. At the same time, within a few months of the incident, a charge sheet with all the facts was prepared and presented in the court. After which the court sentenced the accused to death in the said case after 13 months. People praised and appreciated the prompt action of the police of Matigara police station. The entire police department was feeling proud. 22 small and big policemen engaged in the investigation of this case were honored by the Siliguri Police Commissionerate. Police Commissioner C. Sudhakar honored everyone in the Commissionerate office. Those who received the honor include ACP Rajen Chhetri, Matigara Police Station IC Sameer Devsa, Investigation Officer of the case Paresh Burman.
