Bhagalpur, September 26 (HS). Villagers of Belkhoria Panchayat of Nathnagar block area of the district surrounded the Mukhiya representative on Thursday. The villagers were angry due to not getting government food. The villagers scolded Mukhiya representative Brajesh Kumar a lot.
Villager Suresh Yadav said that they too are flood victims but only the people of Maniyarpur village are getting food. They are not being given food. The head says that he is providing food from his personal funds. Therefore, he will feed only those who wish to.
Dhori Yadav said that food is being cooked at the Mukhiya's house. Flood victims are there. Flood water has entered our houses but the Mukhiya representative says that you people are not flood victims and neither have you voted for us. The Mukhiya is working by looking at our faces. The people of Rajpur village returned hungry and were not given food. Food is being distributed to those who are not victims.
Mukhiya representative Brajesh Kumar has called the allegations baseless. He said that there are two government kitchens and one private kitchen running in the Panchayat. The kitchens are being run at places where the administration found more people affected by the floods.
