Malda, 26 September (HS). The temporary employees of Malda Medical have joined the strike from Thursday demanding bonus. It is alleged that on demanding bonus, the contractor company is demanding a certificate of passing 8th class. In protest against this, the temporary employees have started the strike from Thursday morning.
The temporary employees allege that they have been working in the medical college for 20 years. The new contractor company did not ask for any certificate after taking charge. Suddenly when Puja bonus was demanded, they are being asked for the certificate. The strike will continue until they get the bonus.
On the other hand, Malda Medical Superintendent Prof. Dr. Prasenjit Kumar Bar said that the cleaning work has been affected due to the work of temporary employees. Efforts are being made to resolve the issue through talks.
