Maid stole jewellery worth 15 lakhs, owner filed FIR | News India

Ramgarh, September 26 (HS). The morale of thieves in the city has increased so much that they are not afraid of robbing people's houses. One such case came to light on Thursday from Patratu Basti Chhotki Murramkala of the city. Here the owner of the house had gone out for a walk with his family. Behind his back, the maid stole jewelry worth about 15 lakh rupees and cash worth 30 thousand rupees.

In this case, the owner of the house Ram Naresh Prasad has lodged a first information report of theft in Ramgarh police station. He told that from 9th September to 24th September his whole family was out of the house. Only his wife was present in the house. Meanwhile, the maid Radha used to come to work in the house. On 24th September, when Ram Naresh Prasad returned with the whole family, all the jewellery was missing from his daughter-in-law's room.

During the investigation, it was found that she had escaped by opening the cupboard in the daughter-in-law's room and taking away Rs. 30,000 cash and lots of jewellery. The complete investigation revealed that necklace, 4 neck chains, four lockets, a bracelet, nose pin, 7 sets of earrings, 7 finger rings, jhumka, nath, maang tika, kada etc. are missing, the total cost of which would be around Rs. 15 lakhs.

In this case, Ramgarh police station in-charge Krishna Kumar said that the police has intensified the investigation. The thieves will be arrested soon.
