East Champaran, 26 September (HS). A suspicious person was chased and caught by the guard of Areraj Union Bank of the district, who turned out to be a cyber fraud. On his information, the police have arrested two more cyber criminals.
The above action has been taken on the instructions of SP Swarn Prabhat. In this regard, DSP Areraj Ranjan Kumar has said that the three criminals arrested are Dhananjay Kumar and Mintu Kumar of Bhawanipur village of Sangrampur police station area and Rakesh Kumar of Mananpur village of Govindganj police station area. The mastermind of the gang is still absconding, against whom police raids are being conducted. It has been told that 13 passbooks and two checkbooks of different banks have been recovered from the criminals. Police is interrogating the arrested criminals. It is believed that more members of this gang will be arrested, from whom check books and other items including ATM cards will also be recovered.
