How the map alert system will work
A new alert system on Google Maps will display a notification on a specific business profile. This notification will only appear if a large number of unverified reviews have been created to make the business look better. According to the Search Engine Roundtable, Google has released a warning card for Google Maps users.
Whenever a fake review regarding a particular business is removed by Google Maps, the user checking the business profile will get to know about it. This feature was first seen in the United Kingdom but has now been rolled out in the US as well.
It's hard to add new reviews after fake reviews are removed
