Ladowal Toll Plaza: Punjab's most expensive toll plaza may once again be free for the public from tomorrow (Friday). This means that people will not have to pay any fee to pass through there. This decision was taken in a meeting of the officials of Toll Plaza Workers Union Punjab. The meeting was chaired by Punjab Chief Darshan Singh Ladi.
He said that for many months, meetings are being held with the company officials regarding their demands, but till date their demands have not been met. The company is not paying any attention to this. Due to this, the Toll Plaza Workers Union Punjab has announced that from September 27, Ladowal Toll Plaza will remain free indefinitely and no toll will be collected from any driver.
Darshan Singh Ladi said that the employees working at the toll plaza are neither being given government holidays nor their PF is being deducted. He said that the said company is not providing any ESI and welfare scheme facilities to the toll employees. He further said that in protest against these things, the toll plaza will be made completely free by the toll plaza employees on 27 September.
