A case of a youth being shot dead has come to light in Tank Kuchtriya of Tarn Taran. The injured youth was referred to Amritsar, where he died.
The deceased youth has been identified as Vinay Kumar alias Vinny. Vinay Kumar alias Vinny, 25-year-old son of Ramesh Kumar Titu posted in Civil Hospital, used to run a grocery shop in the area. Late last night, Vinny was about to close the shop and go home when some people came on a bike and as soon as they arrived, they started firing at Vinny with a pistol. One bullet hit his chest, while the other hit his forehead. He was brought to the Civil Hospital in an injured condition, from where he was referred to Amritsar.
Vinny was being taken to Amritsar but he died on the way. Tarn Taran SPD Ajay Raj Singh, a team of CIA staff and Tarn Taran DSP Harjinder Singh reached the spot and took the body into custody and started investigation.
