Patiala: The papers of Punjabi University (Punjabi University Patiala) are over, due to which the students are not able to get Detailed Marks Card (DMC). A large number of students from far-flung areas reach the university daily to get DMC, but they have to return empty-handed. This problem has been persisting for the last one and a half months. Despite knowing the problem, no solution is being done by the authority.
According to the information, more than 12 lakh students from different districts of Punjab are associated with Punjabi University. These students are issued DMC by Punjabi University. Currently, a large number of students are deprived of getting their DMC due to lack of documents in the university. More than 50 students are reaching the examination branch every day to get DMC, but due to lack of documents, they have to return empty handed. A student who completed PG Diploma from Punjabi University last year said that earlier there were many types of objections in the result, after removing all these objections, the time came to get DMC, but now that too is not available. According to the students, when asked from the concerned department, they have been asked to get DMC again due to lack of paper. Similarly, a B.Ed student said that no one talks about the land line number. After a lot of effort, the personal number of an employee was found. On talking on the personal number, the employee has advised to wait, saying that there is not enough information regarding the paper.
Punjabi University's Controller of Examinations Neeraj Kumar Sharma says that DMC can be downloaded from the university's website so that students do not have to face problems due to shortage of papers. Information about this has also been given to all the colleges, but due to lack of information, students are still reaching the university to get DMC. Neeraj Sharma says that if needed, the downloaded DMC can be attested from the university. He said that e-tendering has been done to buy the papers. It may take another month for the papers to arrive.
