Dhamtari, September 25 (HS). On the first day of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha organized at Rudri Sahu Sadan in Dhamtari on September 25, narrator Acharya Rampratap Shastri Maharaj said that if one gets respect, high position or prestige in life, then one should consider it as God's grace and do good deeds, but if there is even a little pride in life, then it makes one a partner in sin. Shrimad Bhagwat Katha frees even the biggest sinners from sins, so wherever the story is being told, it should be heard.
He further said that King Parikshit, full of ego, put a dead snake around the neck of Shamik Rishi who was meditating in the forest. As a result, King Parikshit was cursed to die in a week. When Parikshit removed the golden crown from his head, the influence of Kali Yuga ended on him and he realized his mistake. But by then it was too late.
Whenever a calamity befalls the devotees of God, God comes forward for their welfare. To help Parikshit cross the ocean of existence, God appeared in the form of Shukdev and gave him a place at his feet by narrating the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. Narrating the episode of Mahabharata, he said that during the war, when Karna had a discussion with Lord Krishna, Karna said that after his death, his cremation should take place at a place where no one has been cremated till date. After his death, God performed the last rites of Karna with his own hands. The Katha is going on daily from 2 pm to 6 pm. The organizers of the Katha are Narendra Sahu and the entire Sahu family of Chhattisgarh Vastralaya. Former MLA Ranjana Sahu, Sunil Sahu, KK Sahu, Siyaram Sahu, Raman Sahu and the people of the area reached in large numbers to listen to the Katha.
The ultimate bliss is found only in the devotion of Narayana
Shri Shastri Ji said that only in the devotion of Narayan, one gets ultimate bliss. His words become the pearl of the ocean. God is hungry for love. Meeting God is possible only by renouncing desires. He told the devotees that desires should be discarded like clothes. The one who listens to the Bhagwat Katha remains blessed by God.
