Barmer, September 25 (HS). Two cousins ​​were giving water to the cattle at a pond in Bhatiyon Ki Dhani village of Kamthai Gram Panchayat of Balotra district. During this, the cattle started fighting with each other, seeing which one brother got scared and jumped into the pond to save himself. The other brother jumped to save him. But both the brothers died after getting stuck in the deep water of the pond. On receiving the information, Sindhari police reached the spot. The bodies were taken out and kept in the mortuary of the hospital. The police have started investigation.

According to the police, Chetan Singh (13) son of Shambhu Singh, Hem Singh (14) son of Ridmal Singh, residents of Bhatiyon Ki Dhani village of Kamthai Gram Panchayat, were grazing the animals on Wednesday morning around 11:30. They were giving water to the animals at a pond about 500 meters away from the house. During this, the animals started fighting with each other. Seeing this, both the brothers got scared, due to which one brother jumped into the pond. Seeing him drowning, the other brother jumped to save him. But both got stuck in the deep water swamp. Hearing the children's screams, people from nearby areas came running. On receiving the information, Sindhari police also reached the spot. With the help of the people around, the police brought the bodies of both to Sindhari Hospital, where the doctors declared them dead.

Sindhari police station in-charge Suresh Kumar said that information was received about drowning of children in Kamthai area. The bodies have been taken out and kept in the mortuary of the hospital. Further action will be taken on the basis of the report of the family members. The bodies will be handed over to the family members after postmortem. Police said that Chetan was a student of seventh class and Hem Singh was a student of eighth class. The families of both are farmers.
