Raipur, 25 September (HS). Historian Ramendranath Mishra presented rare books based on the historical background of Chhattisgarh and freedom fighters to Principal Secretary of Tribal Development Department Sonamni Bora at the Tribal Research and Training Institute on Wednesday.
Historian Mishra said that these books will be very useful for the writers and researchers of Chhattisgarh. These books can also be used for reference. Principal Secretary Bora thanked Mishra for this.
Books published by Madhya Pradesh Granth Academy on the life of martyr Veer Narayan Singh by historian Ramendra Nath Mishra, social history of the God tribe, reports on the British rule in medieval Chhattisgarh, bi-monthly illustrated copy of Shri Krishna Janma Sthan newspaper handwritten by Pandit Sundar Lal Sharma during his jail visit, the first grammar book on Chhattisgarhi dialect written by litterateur Hira Lal Kapodhyay and books based on letters written by the British from Nagpur province during the British rule from 1854-1857, among other books have been donated.
