Saharsa, 25 September (HS). A two-member team of the Tourism Department reached Saharsa on Wednesday with the aim of promoting the city's Matsyagandha lake as a tourist destination. Along with this, the lake was inspected thoroughly for its beautification.
On this occasion, former minister and local BJP MLA Alok Ranjan, Sadar SDM Pradeep Kumar Jha, Kahra Circle Officer Anil Kumar and other workers were present. During this, a two-member team of the tourism department, which arrived from the capital Patna, inspected the Matsyagandha lake of the city this afternoon. The team from the tourism department included Miswauddin Ansari, Vinod Prasad Singh.
BJP MLA Alok Ranjan, who was present on the occasion, said that a month ago he had met the state's tourism minister Nitish Mishra and demanded to improve and develop the city's only tourist spot Matsyagandha lake. He said that at that time minister Nitish Mishra had assured that a team would be sent by the department within a month. Which would conduct a survey and submit a report so that it could be promoted as a tourist spot. In view of this, a two-member team of the tourism department arrived for inspection on Wednesday. After the team's report, Matsyagandha lake will be rejuvenated. Along with this, Matsyagandha has been said to be developed as a tourist spot in the district.
He said that earlier also the land owners were not getting compensation for their land, so work was done to provide the amount to the land owners. Now this Matsyagandha lake will be selected by the government as a tourist destination. He said that the NDA government is committed to development. During the NDA regime, the entire state is developing rapidly. Along with this, to develop the tourism industry, planned development of places of religious, historical and archaeological importance is being done.
