Haldwani, 25 September (HS). Police has arrested the milk union president Mukesh Bora, accused of rape and POCSO, from Chakku Chowk in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. Senior Superintendent of Police Prahlad Narayan Meena said that the accused Bora was preparing to go to the Supreme Court. He had gone to meet his lawyer in Rampur, when the police arrested him.

It is worth mentioning that a woman working in the milk union had accused Mukesh Bora of rape and molestation of his daughter. On the complaint of the woman, a case has been registered against Mukesh Bora under the POCSO Act and rape sections. The police had started the process of confiscating his property. A non-bailable warrant was issued against Bora. Police teams had camped in UP, Rajasthan, Punjab and Delhi to arrest Bora. Sections have been registered against Bora's driver Kamal Belwal for threatening to kill him through WhatsApp after he complained to the police against Mukesh Bora.
Besides this, names of four persons who had helped accused Mukesh Bora in absconding, namely Asha Rani wife of Nandan Arya resident of village Malli Dini PO Pahadpani, Surendra Singh Parihar son of Mohan Singh Parihar resident of village Alchona PO Chafi Tehsil Nainital, Nandan Prasad Arya son of Gopal Ram Arya resident of village Malli Dini PO Pahadpani district Nainital and Devendra Singh Chunotiya son of Kunwar Singh Chunotiya resident Naukuchiataal police station Bhimtal district Nainital etc. were added in the above mentioned case and action under the Act was taken against them. Mukesh Bora was arrested and produced in the court and sent to jail.
