East Champaran, 25 September (HS). The district police team has solved the robbery case that took place in Airtel Payment Bank of Motihari city. Along with this, a collection agent of Kotak Mahindra who had planned the robbery and his another partner have been arrested from Bettiah.
Giving information about this in the city police station premises on Wednesday, Sadar ASP Shikhar Chaudhary said that on the late evening of September 17, two criminals looted more than one lakh rupees at gunpoint from Airtel Payment Bank located at Balua Tal in the city police station area and escaped by firing in the air. Taking immediate action after the incident, SP Swarn Prabhat formed an SIT and directed to conduct raids to arrest both the criminals. Also, a reward was also announced against both the criminals. After which, after conducting technical investigation, the criminals involved in the robbery conspiracy have been arrested with Rs 10,000 of the looted money.
During interrogation, these criminals disclosed that Anuj used to work as a collector in Kotak Mahindra Bank. Anshu Kumar is his partner. When Anuj was working in Kotak, he met Abdul Ganni, after which Anuj planned the entire robbery and hired a man. During this, the deal was finalized on taking 20 percent of the loot, after which the robbery was carried out. When he was searched, 10 thousand rupees were recovered from him. He has also disclosed the name of his other partner.
ASP told that technical investigation revealed that Anuj Kumar and Anshu Kumar had divided the looted amount among themselves and were hiding in their house, after which, based on secret information, raids were conducted and both of them were arrested. During interrogation, it was told that on the instructions of Pratik Singh, we had done recce on the day of this incident and the division of money was decided at 20 percent as commission, in which 10 thousand was received. The rest was to be given after a few days. On their information, the police is conducting raids to arrest Pratik Singh and Gani. SP Shikhar Chaudhary told that a reward of 25 thousand has been announced for the arrest of Pratik and Gani. If they do not surrender in the court within four days, their house will be confiscated.
