Purnia, 25 September (HS). Former MP Santosh Kushwaha met Bihar Chief Secretary Amritlal Meena on Wednesday. MP Kushwaha told the Chief Secretary that as an alternative, civil aviation services should be started immediately under the porta cabin concept. He had earlier made this demand on the floor of the House and also by meeting the Civil Aviation Minister. Kushwaha said that the Chief Secretary agreed to his demands and said that this option would be considered positively.

Kushwaha claimed that all the technical hurdles have been removed and it is expected that flight service will start from Purnia in the latter half of next year. Even during the election, we had promised the people of Purnia that the dream of air flight will be fulfilled in the year 2025 and now we are close to fulfilling the dream.

The Chief Secretary also had a detailed discussion with Kushwaha about the Bidupur-Purnia Greenfield Expressway. Kushwaha said that he had been trying for this expressway for a long time with Madhepura and Supaul MPs, the result of which is now visible.

Kushwaha said that according to the Chief Secretary, the process of land acquisition will be completed within a year and the process of further construction will be started. Kushwaha expressed gratitude to the state government on behalf of the people of Purnia. Kushwaha said that our ultimate goal has been the development of Purnia. We do not show and sell dreams. The amount of development work done in Purnia in the last ten years was not done after independence. In future also, he will keep strengthening the foundation of development work related to Purnia and this series will continue.
