After the warning of infiltration of Kuki terrorists from Myanmar, the state government has deployed anti-drone guns in Manipur. Along with this, sources have informed that the state government is also purchasing 10 new anti-drone gun systems. These will be deployed at different places in the state.

A high-level meeting has been held between the state government and security forces on the latest intelligence report related to Manipur. The State Security Advisor had also expressed concern over the intelligence report received a few days ago and directed the SPs of all districts to remain on alert. The report said that a large number of Kuki terrorists may infiltrate into Manipur from Myanmar. The report emphasizes that these people have been fully trained in jungle warfare and the use of armed drones.

Following the report, security agencies have raised alertness and tightened security along the southern Myanmar border as anti-drone gun systems already available with the CRPF and Assam Rifles have been deployed in the valleys and hilly areas of Manipur.

Along with this, sources have informed that the state government police is buying 10 new anti-drone gun systems and has written to the state government for this. 10 new anti-drone guns will be able to deal with the threat from drones in the state. Sources also said that in the last few days, security forces in Manipur have shot down more than a dozen drones.
