Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam i.e. TTD Board has officially lodged a complaint with the police regarding alleged adulteration in the Prasad offered to the devotees at Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the information, TTD General Manager (Purchasing) P. Murali Krishna has lodged a complaint against AR Dairy Food Private Limited, Dindigul at East Police Station, Tirupati. Earlier, the government had formed an SIT headed by senior police officer Shrestha Tripathi to investigate the adulteration case.
A PIL was filed in the Supreme Court
A PIL has also been filed in the Supreme Court regarding adulteration in the Prasad of the world famous Tirupati Balaji temple. The PIL was filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy. Subramanian Swamy demanded an investigation into the allegations of tampering made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Let us tell you that Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu had recently accused the Prasad of Tirupati Balaji temple of adulteration of animal fat during the NDA Legislature Party meeting. However, former Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy has called it a political statement.
The board clarified on the mixing of Prasad
The board managing the country's richest temple on Friday revealed that it had found low quality ghee and animal fat adulteration in the samples sent for quality testing. The claim that the laddus contained animal fat was made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy termed it diversionary politics and a fake story after blaming the previous YSR Congress Party government over the issue.
