Jaipur, September 24 (HS). A case of attempted rape of a five-year-old innocent girl has come to light in Malpura Gate police station area. According to police information, the accused took the innocent girl away on the pretext of giving her a toffee while she was playing outside the house and tried to rape her. On the basis of CCTV footage, the family members who followed and caught the accused caught him. In this regard, the father of the victim girl registered a case in the police station. Police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested the accused.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur East, Narayan Lal Sharma said that Shambhudas (50), a resident of Malpura Gate, accused under the POCSO Act, has been arrested. A person from Bihar had filed a case that he lives with his wife and five-year-old daughter in the Malpura Gate area. On September 22, he went to work in the factory with his wife. During this time, his five-year-old daughter was playing outside the house. A man came there and took the innocent girl away on the pretext of giving her a toffee. Taking her to his house, the accused tried to rape the innocent girl.
After some time, when the family members came home and checked, they found the daughter missing. On asking the people nearby, it was found that she was last seen playing outside the house. On scanning the CCTV footage installed near the house, a man on a bicycle came near the playing girl. After talking for some time, he was seen taking her away on the bicycle. On the basis of CCTV footage, after gathering information about the accused from the people, when they reached the address given by the family members, the house was found locked from inside. On getting the gate opened and reaching inside, the innocent daughter was found inside the house with the accused. On asking the innocent girl, she told the family members about the wrongful act of the accused. On this, the family members, who reached the police station with the innocent girl, registered a case against the accused. There the police took immediate action and arrested the accused Shambhudas.
