Bhopal, 24 September (HS). Food Civil Supplies Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput has informed that the state government is providing LPG cylinders to more than 24 lakh Ladli sisters for Rs 450. Under the scheme, a grant of Rs 632 crore 16 lakh has been deposited in the accounts of Ladli sisters for 2 crore 57 lakh 56 thousand gas cylinders (refill) from July 2023 to May 2024. The scheme is being implemented continuously. This information was given by Public Relations Officer Rajesh Pandey on Tuesday.
He informed that Minister Rajput has said that to prevent the ill effects on the health of women in cooking food with traditional fuel means and to protect the environment and promote the use of safe and clean fuel, a scheme has been implemented from the month of July, 2023 to provide gas refill taken by them to the registered sisters of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana LPG connection holder and non-Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana gas connection holder Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana (MMLBY) for Rs. 450.
Mrs. Seema Sharma, a resident of Jhiriya Mohalla of Umaria district, said that for poor people like us, getting a cylinder for Rs. 450 solves half of our kitchen problems. She said that this is an important gift from our Chief Minister and beloved brother Dr. Mohan Yadav to his beloved sisters.
