Preparations for assembly by-elections after monsoon ends
Jharkhand currently has a Congress-backed Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) government. While Maharashtra has a BJP-backed Shiv Sena government led by Shinde. The opposition parties are also in a very strong position in both states. At the same time, the Election Commission can announce by-elections for the vacant seats of UP Assembly including Wayanad along with Jharkhand and Maharashtra assembly elections.
