Symptoms of Dengue in Children , Dengue cases are increasing rapidly in the country. The number of dengue patients is continuously increasing. This year a total of 675 cases of dengue have been reported in the country. Recently a similar case has come to light from Bengaluru, where a 6-year-old girl died within 48 hours of getting fever. The girl's family members Humanta Ravindra DK and Ramya say that despite treatment they lost their daughter. He said that if a child has dengue, it is very important for parents to recognize other symptoms of dengue.

Symptoms of Dengue in Children

  • If children have dengue, they may have pain in their joints and bones.
  • In such situations, many times children face problems like rashes on the body or bleeding from the nose.
  • In case of dengue in children, symptoms include vomiting, diarrhoea and loss of appetite.
  • Dengue often causes children to not eat properly or become irritable.
  • In such a situation, along with their physical energy getting reduced, they also face the problem of insomnia.

Consult a doctor if you notice any symptoms

  • Apart from the common symptoms of dengue in children, there are some symptoms which should not be ignored at all.
  • According to health experts, if a child has stomach pain along with vomiting, avoid ignoring it.
  • Blood in a child's stool can be a serious symptom of dengue.
  • Consult a doctor if there is any change in the child's breathing rate or difficulty in breathing.
  • Frequent thirst is also a serious symptom of dengue in children.

Do not ignore dengue fever in children
Ignoring the symptoms of dengue in children can sometimes be fatal for them. In some cases, due to negligence, the child's platelet count may suddenly decrease. These infections can adversely affect the immune system of children.
