Gwalior, September 23 (HS). Ensure distribution of relief amount to the remaining people affected by excessive rain and water logging within three days under the provisions of the Revenue Book Circular (RBC 6-4) of the State Government. The officers and employees of the Revenue Department should carry out this work with their full energy, so that every family affected by excessive rain reaches relief as soon as possible in accordance with the intention of the state government. This instruction was given by the in-charge collector and Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat Vivek Kumar during the review of relief distribution work in the inter-departmental coordination meeting on Monday.
In-charge Collector Vivek Kumar reviewed tehsil-wise the relief amount being distributed to the people affected by loss of life, loss of animals, damage to kutcha-pukka houses and huts and loss of household goods due to excessive rainfall and water logging in the district. In the meeting, it was informed that financial assistance of about Rs 3 crore 73 lakh has been approved under the provisions of Revenue Book Circular to 8 thousand 500 people affected by excessive rainfall and water logging in all the tehsils of the district. Out of this, relief of about Rs 2 crore 50 lakh has been distributed to 4 thousand 115 people. The work of distributing relief to the remaining people is going on rapidly. Apart from this, food grains at the rate of 50 kg wheat and 10 kg rice have also been made available to 1042 families affected by excessive rainfall under RBC 6 (4). Also, the monthly food grains given every month have been distributed in the rain-affected areas.
In the meeting, other priority programmes of the state government including Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada, CM Helpline and preparation for marriage ceremonies of disabled people, brief revision of voter lists, dengue-malaria control, compassionate appointment on vacant posts, crop survey and stopping illegal fishing in Tighra reservoir were also reviewed. Additional Collector Anju Arun Kumar, Kumar Satyam and TN Singh along with all the SDMs of the district and district level officers of various departments were present in the meeting held at the Collectorate.
If negligence is shown in the survey of crop loss, then action of suspension will be taken
In-charge Collector Vivek Kumar directed all SDMs and Tehsildars of the district to complete the survey of the damage caused to crops due to excessive rainfall in the district as soon as possible. He clarified that action for suspension will be taken against those employees who will not cooperate in the survey work. Vivek Kumar directed to form a joint survey team for Patwari Halka and Gram Panchayat for the survey. He said that the survey team should include Patwari, Rural Agriculture Extension Officer of Agriculture Department, employees of Horticulture Department and other field workers including Gram Panchayat Secretary. He also directed that the survey work should be done with complete transparency. Information about the arrival of the survey team should be given to the villagers in advance. Also, after the crop survey, prepare a Panchnama and paste the list of damages revealed in the survey on the Panchayat Bhawan, so that no one has any objection.
Emphasis on further accelerating dengue control program
Collector-in-charge Vivek Kumar laid special emphasis on accelerating the dengue control program in the district. He instructed the officials of the Health Department and Municipal Corporation that in the areas where a large number of dengue patients have been found, fogging, controlling water logging, putting Gambusia fish in stagnant water should be done on priority to destroy the larvae. Also, destroy the larvae by conducting door-to-door survey. There should be no laxity in this work. It was informed in the meeting that so far 545 dengue patients have been identified in the district, out of which 470 patients have been found in Gwalior Municipal Corporation area and the remaining patients in the rural areas.
Activities of Swachhata Hi Seva Paksha should be effective
The activities of Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada should be organised effectively in the urban and rural areas of the district. In the inter-departmental coordination meeting, the in-charge collector Vivek Kumar directed the CMOs of all the urban bodies of the district and the CEOs of the Janpad Panchayats to upload the photographs of the programmes on the Swachhata portal.
