Jaipur, September 23 (HS). A security lapse has come to light on Monday during Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's visit to Jaipur. He had come to inaugurate the Sainik School built on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in the campus of Bhawani Niketan School on Sikar Road. After the program, he was leaving for the airport when a student broke the security cordon and reached him. The security personnel removed the student from there. However, later Rajnath Singh called the student to him and listened to him. Student Harsh Bhardwaj said that he studies in 10th class and lives alone in Jaipur. His mother is a government teacher in Jhalawar. She is not being transferred here. Jaipur Police has denied any incident of breaking of security cordon and protocol.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Shri Bhavani Niketan Sainik School and said that the central government has set a target of setting up 100 new Sainik Schools across India. In this sequence, the Ministry of Defence has approved the opening of 45 out of these 100 schools in collaboration with state governments, NGOs and private schools. Educational activities have started in 40 of these schools and Shri Bhavani Niketan Sainik School of Jaipur is one of them.
The Defence Minister said that Rajasthan is the land of heroes, many representatives of valour and valour like Maharana Pratap, Prithviraj Chauhan, Maharaj Surajmal and Sawai Jai Singh were born on this land. The resolve to protect the motherland and to sacrifice one's life for its protection is embedded in every particle of this land. He expressed confidence that these students of Sainik School will be imbued with such a feeling of patriotism. Along with this, they will get proper guidance to join the military services of India.
The Defence Minister said that whenever there is talk of PPP model, it is understood as Public Private Partnership but now the times are changing. Now PPP means Private Public Partnership. At present, the role of private sector is much more than the public sector in almost every sector of the economy. The private sector has a major role in the country's economy. It is making significant contributions in agriculture, manufacturing and service sectors. The Defence Minister expressed confidence that if the private and public sectors come together, then through these new Sainik Schools, our future generations will get the best education.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh for giving the gift of Sainik School to Jaipur and said that she herself is a soldier's daughter and is proud of it. A large number of families of soldiers live in Rajasthan. Opening of Sainik School here will help such families. After 2014, the PM and Defense Minister made it clear that now there is a strong defense circle in the country. So there is nothing to worry about. No one's interference will be tolerated in the new India. She said that the PM boosts the morale of the soldiers on festivals. The government stands with the army. The Defense Minister himself has also been giving the message of this. In 2021, the Center had approved 100 Sainik Schools. Now school education will also be with the spirit of patriotism.
Sainik Welfare Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said, the whole of Rajasthan has got the gift of another historic Sainik School. This is a proud moment for all of us. This school will provide proper guidance to patriotic youth to join the armed forces and serve the motherland. Sainik schools provide academic knowledge and develop the values of discipline, patriotism and courage for the overall development of the youth.
Education Minister Madan Dilawar, MP Manju Sharma, former Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore and former MP Ramcharan Bohra were also present in the program.
