AMTS organised free health check-up camp for driver-conductors, more than 240 people underwent medical check-up | News India

Ahmedabad News: Rotary Club of Ahmedabad West and Trisha Multi Specialty Hospital and Sankalp Ayurvedic Hospital jointly organized a free health check-up camp for the drivers and conductors of Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Corporation (AMTS) at Lal Darwaza New AMTS Office Building. Held from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, 240 people underwent a comprehensive health check-up at the camp.

All the people were examined for heart, bone, teeth, eyes, piles and fistula by specialist doctors. Medicines were also given free of cost to the needy patients. In this camp, diagnosis was not limited to physical examination only but X-ray and echocardiogram of the people were also done so that the driver conductor could get complete information about heart disease or bone disease.

AMTS Chairman Dharmshibhai Desai was present on the occasion and he personally visited each section and encouraged the drivers conductors to go for health check up and thanked the Rotary Club members and doctors

Rotary Club of Ahmedabad President Jatinder Kaur Bhalla and Secretary Nirav Joshi said that in future we will organize such camps at regular intervals at each terminal of AMTS and will also make drivers and conductors aware about de-addiction. Members of Rotary Club of Ahmedabad West were present in large numbers and helped in completing the screening of 240 people in just three hours and maintaining the system.
