He made this comment in a press conference held at the BJP state office today. Leader of Opposition in Delhi Municipal Corporation Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh was also present with him. Virendra Sachdeva said that Aam Aadmi Party won the 2022 Delhi Municipal Corporation elections by making the cleaning and sanitation of landfill sites a main issue. Now they are saying that it will be possible by 2028. This is a betrayal of the mandate. Delhi Municipal Corporation has given an affidavit in the court that due to the absence of a standing committee, the deadline for cleaning the landfill site will now be 2028.
BJP leader Sachdeva said that if BJP was in power in Delhi Municipal Corporation, all the three sites would have been cleaned. The main reason for the current situation of pollution in Delhi is the mountains of garbage. Along with air pollution and water pollution, Delhi is becoming completely poisonous. He said that due to the conspiracy of Aam Aadmi Party, a standing committee has not been formed in Delhi. Due to this, development work is not going on smoothly.
