Saharsa, 21 September (HS). Chandrashekhar Prasad Singh and Saraswati Devi Smriti 8th Bihar State Junior Handball Competition was officially inaugurated by MP Dinesh Chand Yadav. Dinesh Chand Yadav first of all inaugurated the game by hoisting the flag of Bihar Handball Association, cutting the ribbon of the ground and getting introduced to the players.
Many people including Organizing Committee Chairman cum District BJP President Diwakar Singh, Mo Anjum Hussain, Chandrashekhar Adhikari, Vinay Yadav, Revati Raman Singh, Jyoti Singh, District Cricket Association's Akhilesh Kumar Toot were present in the inaugural ceremony conducted under the guidance of District Handball Association Secretary Roshan Singh Dhoni. The spectacular match of the 8th Bihar State Junior Handball Competition, organized in the name of Organizing Committee Chairman Diwakar Singh's parents Late Chandrashekhar Prasad Singh and Late Saraswati Devi, is continuing at Saharsa Stadium, Saharsa.
Organizing committee secretary Roshan Singh Dhoni said that boy participants from 23 districts of Bihar have participated in this competition. Based on the performance in this competition, Bihar Junior Handball team will be formed which will represent Bihar in the national competition. On this occasion, Bihar Handball Association general secretary Brajkishore Sharma and many other officials including Rana Rana Pratap Singh from Rohtas are keeping an eye on various aspects of this game and are handling the responsibility of selecting good players.
On the occasion of inauguration, the MP said in his address that I always try to fulfill my important partnership for development in all sections. I have been contributing as much as I can in developing infrastructure in the field of sports and will continue to do so. The District President said in his address that I am continuously trying to promote handball. We will try in the coming days that national level competitions should also be organized in Saharsa.
In this competition, teams from 23 districts of Bihar including Saharsa, Purnia, Darbhanga, Khagaria, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Sasaram, Kaimur, Gaya, Aurangabad, Bhojpuri Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Bettiah, Siwan, Chhapra, Motihari, Nawada, Nalanda, Lakhisarai etc. took part. This competition will be concluded on 22nd from 20th to 22nd September. On this occasion, Sports Minister of Bihar Government will be present as the chief guest. On this occasion, Physical Education Teacher, Virendra Kumar Ram, Mohammad Syed Sami Ahmed, Nitish Mishra, Rana Ranjan Singh, Tushar Katyayan etc. were involved whole-heartedly as technical officials.
