Ranchi, September 21 (HS). The discharge petition of former Ranchi DC Chavi Ranjan and businessman Vishnu Agarwal in the case related to the illegal purchase and sale of one acre of land on Cheshire Home Road was heard in the court of PMLA Special Judge Yogesh Kumar on Saturday.
During the hearing, both sides sought time to file their replies, after which the court fixed September 27 as the next date for hearing on the discharge petition of Chhabi Ranjan and October 5 on the discharge petition of businessman Vishnu Agarwal.
In this case related to illegal purchase and sale of land of Cheshire Home Road in Bargain Zone of Ranchi, ED had arrested former DC of Ranchi Chavi Ranjan, Revenue Sub Inspector of Bargain Zone Bhanu Pratap Prasad, fake Raiyat of Army's occupied land Pradeep Bagchi, land dealer Afsar Ali, Imtiaz Khan, Talha Khan, Fayaz Khan and Mohammad Saddam, Amit Agarwal and Dilip Ghosh. Charge sheet has also been filed against all of them.
