Dhamtari, 7 March (Hindustan Reporter). Before Mahashivratri, on Thursday, March 7, a procession of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati was taken out in Dhamtari city. The attraction of ghosts and various other mythological characters included in this procession was visible. This procession, which started from near Bilai Mata Temple, concluded by reaching Budheshwar Mahadev Temple late in the evening. People gathered all along the way to see the procession of Lord Shiva. People also offered prayers in the procession at many places.
Shiva's procession was taken out with great pomp in Dhamtari city on behalf of Budheshwar Mahadev Temple Trust and innocent devotees. During this, devotees were seen dancing with great enthusiasm in Lord Shankar on the lines of Banaras. Drums, musical instruments, ghosts and tableaus of Aghori Baba and Shiva Parvati marriage were the center of attraction in the procession. There was a crowd of people to see this. This procession taken out on the eve of Mahashivratri looked like the scenes shown in fairytale stories and films. In the procession of Lord Shiva, a group of ghosts, ghosts, vampires and Aghori babas were seen dancing and dancing in the procession of Lord Shiva. Along with Shri Budheshwar Temple Trust and Bol Bam Kanwariya Sangh, Shiva devotees from across the city are organizing many programs.
Trust President Vipin Pawar told that Aghori Baba's group has reached the tableau from Banaras. A special tableau of Kolkata has also come. Along with this, Chhattisgarhi traditional Bastariya dance, tableau of Aanga Dev, Bholenath, tableau of Shiva-Parvati marriage from Durg and three tableaux have reached from Calcutta. Shivaji's palanquin, DJ Dhumal and a group of Naga sadhus are also there in the procession. Apart from the city, a large number of people from nearby villages also arrived to see the procession of Lord Shiva.
The procession takes place on the lines of Banaras
There is about 1400 years old Budheshwar Mahadev Temple in Itwari Bazaar of Dhamtari, where Mahashivratri festival is celebrated every year with great pomp. The marriage of Lord Shiva was celebrated here with full customs. Along with haldi, mehendi and music, the wedding procession was also taken out with great pomp. On the lines of Banaras, a procession of Lord Bhole is taken out, which starts from Vindhyavasini temple of the city, passes through the main road of the city via Ram Bagh and reaches Budheshwar temple located in Itwari Bazaar. Devotees welcome the procession of Lord Shankar by showering flowers along the way. This is the fourth time the event is being organized in Dhamtari city, in which the procession of Lord Bhole has been taken out on the lines of Banaras.
