Amritsar: Gangster Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi resident of Gurdaspur was arrested by the police while breaking the police naka on Batala Road under Mohkampura police station. The police had set up a blockade near the Sadar police station to arrest the accused.
Meanwhile, when the gangster's car started leaving Batala Road, the police tried to stop it, but instead of stopping the car, the accused tried to run away from the policemen by crossing the road, but the police caught him there.

The video of the gangster escaping after breaking the police post is also going viral on the internet media. In which the gangster can be clearly seen breaking the police gate. This gangster is an associate of jailed gangsters Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya and Harry Chattha. He has relations with both of them. At present the police have registered a case against the gangster.
Investigation so far has revealed that NDPS, Arms Act and 14 other cases are registered against the accused in different police stations. At present the accused is being interrogated and many revelations are expected.
The accused did not stop the car
Inspector Rajinder Singh of Mohkampura police station said that he had received information that gangster Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi is a resident of village Kotli, Surat Malli district, Gurdaspur Batala Road. He may also have illegal weapons. Based on this, the police set up a blockade near pillar number 24 of Batala Road. Meanwhile, when an attempt was made to stop a car on the basis of suspicion, the accused did not stop the car.
