Raipur, 20 September (HS). The Chamber of Commerce and Industries has not supported the Congress' Chhattisgarh bandh on 21 September. The Chamber President has said that it is not possible to call an executive meeting in such a short time.
State President Amar Parwani, General Secretary Ajay Bhasin said that the letter of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee dated 19 September regarding the proposed bandh on 21 September was received at the Chamber office on 20 September at 12 noon. In which it has been requested to support the bandh being organized by Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee. Supporting the bandh is the jurisdiction of the executive only. It is not possible to call a meeting of the executive in the information received in such a short time.
Apart from this, since the Chamber is associated with small traders, hawkers and business organizations of the state, who deal in fruits, vegetables, milk and other raw materials, they suffer financial losses due to sudden shutdown without prior notice. The Chamber is unable to support the “Chhattisgarh Bandh” in such a short time without prior notice or without holding a meeting of trade unions.
