Morena, 20 September (HS). As part of the school vehicle inspection campaign being conducted in the district, on Friday, physical inspection of vehicles parked in the school premises was done by visiting schools in rural areas of Ambah and Dimni development blocks. Documents and necessary equipment of the vehicles were checked and school vehicles operating on the road were checked. Regional Transport Officer Archana Parihar, Transport Constable Jitendra Tomar and Home Guard soldiers along with office staff were present for the inspection.
More than 67 school vehicles were checked under the checking campaign run by the Transport Department for checking insurance, fitness etc. in vehicles. In which, challan action was taken against 15 vehicles for violating the section of Motor Vehicles Act and revenue of Rs. 93 thousand 500 was collected. During the action, 06 school vehicles operated against the rules of different schools were seized and kept in police stations for security. All vehicle owners operating under Morena district have been informed that they should ensure to operate the vehicle only when the valid documents of the vehicle are complete. So that inconvenience during checking can be avoided. The vehicle should have valid permit, fitness, insurance and pollution certificate. The commercial license of the driver and conductor should be valid. The vehicle should be fitted with reflector tape, VLTD device, GPS, camera, speed limit device and should be in working condition.
