Guarantee fulfilled. He said that Congress took a loan of Rs 4080 crore through Mandi Board and Rs 5450 crore through other development boards. Out of this, Rs 4400 was spent in waiving off the loans of farmers. Responding to the question of the Leader of Opposition, he said that the AAP government did not take loan by giving mortgage to any board or corporation. Cheema said that the Central Government has withheld about Rs 8,000 crore from Rural Development Fund and National Health Mission. The budget presented by Cheema was passed unanimously by the House today.

No budget provision for Malwa Canal: Waring

Taking part in the budget debate, Congress MLA Amarinder Singh Raja Waring said that the government has taken a loan of Rs 75 thousand crore in two years. It will reach Rs 90 thousand crore in the next financial year. He said that the new Malwa Canal has been mentioned in the budget, but no provision has been made for it.

Rs 1000 to women and no mention of OPS to employees: Ayali

Akali Dal MLA Manpreet Ayali described the budget as disappointing for every section of the society and said that no provision of Rs 1000 per month was made for women, no proposal was made to increase old age pension, no installment of DA was given. .
