The court has imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakh on the police inspector. Lawyer Hiren Nai was talking to friends after coming out of his office located at Madhuram Arcade in Dindoli area of Surat. Meanwhile, a patrolling police vehicle came near him and Police Inspector HJ Solanki sitting in it interrogated the lawyer standing outside till late night and directly kicked the lawyer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police investigated
Surat District Bar Association informed the Police Commissioner about the incident, Hiren Nai and other advocates led by association president Nitin Patel complained to Joint Police Commissioner Raghavendra Vats. The investigation was handed over to Deputy Commissioner of Police Bhagirath Gadhvi. Meanwhile, the victim's lawyer Hiren took the CCTV footage of the incident and filed an application in the High Court.
