National President of All India Akhada Parishad and Secretary of Shripanchayat Akhada Mahanirvani, Srimahant Ravindra Puri Maharaj has demanded from the Government of India to award Bharat Ratna to Brahmalin Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj, the founder of the temple, on the occasion of Bharat Mata Avtaran Divas.
Akhada Parishad President Srimahant Ravindra Puri Maharaj said that Brahmalin Mahamandaleshwar Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj served Sanatan Dharma and the country throughout his life. He not only built Bharat Mata Mandir but also hoisted the flag of Sanatan in foreign countries. His tireless efforts elevated Sanatan culture. He did many works even while being the Shankaracharya of Bhanupura Peeth. Today, his disciple Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj is also keeping the flag of Sanatan high.
Ravindra Puri Maharaj said that Swami Satyamitranand Maharaj was honoured with Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India, but he was the real recipient of Bharat Ratna. Just as many politicians, social workers and other eminent personalities were awarded Bharat Ratna posthumously, in the same way Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj should also be awarded Bharat Ratna. The ceremony was presided over by Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj. During this, saints of all Akharas and sects paid their tributes to Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj.
