Jaipur, September 19 (HS). In celebration of Hindi Diwas on September 14, Rajbhasha Pakhwada is being organized on North Western Railway from September 10 to 24. Along with this, a marathon was organized on Thursday under the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan.
According to North Western Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer Shashi Kiran, various activities are being organized for railway employees to promote official language Hindi under Rajbhasha Pakhwada, which includes essay writing competition, Hindi speech competition, official language quiz competition, workshop on official language policy rules, staging of street play and meeting of official language implementation committee. Under this, Rajbhasha Pledge, Rajbhasha Exhibition and street play were organized at North Western Railway Head Office on Thursday, 19 September.
General Manager North Western Railway Amitabh administered the Official Language Pledge to all the railway employees and a pledge was taken to use and promote the official language on North Western Railway through training and encouragement. After this, the Official Language Department displayed the Official Language Gallery in which official language rules, important information related to the official language, along with biographies of famous Hindi litterateurs and their works were displayed. The exhibition was inaugurated by Amitabh, General Manager North Western Railway, Geetika Pandey, Chief Finance Advisor and Chief Official Language Officer by lighting a lamp and offering flowers in front of Maa Saraswati.
After this, a street play was staged by the artists of the railway on the topic 'My language, Hindi language, official language'. Geetika Pandey, Principal Financial Advisor and Chief Official Language Officer introduced the participants of the street play and praised them for their excellent performance. At the end of the program, the General Manager praised the program and announced a collective award to the Official Language Department and the artists of the play as an incentive for the successful organization of the program. On this occasion, officers and employees of all departments including the Chief Official Language Officer were present.
Under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign being run by the railways, marathons, cyclothon, walkathon were also organized by the North Western Railway Sports Association to encourage mass participation and promote fitness and cleanliness together. Today, a marathon was organized at the KP Singh Stadium in Ganpati Nagar Railway Colony. Railway officials, employees and their families participated in this marathon with great enthusiasm. Marathons, cyclothon, walkathon were also organized at the divisions under this campaign.
