Online application for PAN card can be done through NSDL portal (now Proteus) or UTIITSL portal. You can get your PAD card delivered to your home by following the online steps given below.
-To apply online for PAN card, visit the website of NSDL or UTIITSL.
-Select New PAN option.
-Select PAN Card Form 49A, which should be chosen for individuals, whether they are Indian citizens, NRE/NRI or OCI individuals.
This form should be filled with the details of the individual.
-After submitting the form, the applicant has to pay the processing fee online or through demand draft to start the processing of the form.
-After paying the fee and submitting PAN Form 49A, a receipt is generated, which contains the 15-digit receipt number.
-You can e-sign the application using Aadhaar OTP authentication or send the Form 49A application along with required documents by courier to the NSDL PAN office or UTIITSL office within 15 days of submitting it online.
-After sending the receipt number to the concerned office, the PAN number is verified and the card is generated after NSDL/UTIITSL PAN verification.
-Physical PAN card is dispatched to the customer's address given in the form within 15 days.
These documents may be needed
-Any ID card issued by the Government – Aadhaar Card, DL, Voter ID, etc.
-Arms License
-Pensioner card with photograph of the applicant.
-Photo identity card issued by the Central Government, State Government or Public Sector Undertaking
-Central Government Health Scheme card or Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme photo card
-Original bank certificate issued from the bank branch on bank letterhead and attested by the issuing authority. Such certificate must contain the attested photograph and bank account number of the applicant.
Any one of the following as proof of address:-
-Electricity, landline or broadband connection bill
-Postpaid mobile phone bills
– water bill
-LPG or Piped Gas Connection Bill or Gas Connection Book
-Bank account statement
-Credit card details
-Deposit account details
-Post Office Account Passbook
– Passport
-Voter ID card
-Driving License
-Property Registration Documents
Residence certificate issued by the Government of India
– Aadhar card
One of the following as Birth Certificate:-
– Birth certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or any authorized authority
-Matriculation Certificate
-Pension Payment Order
– Passport
– Marriage certificate issued by the marriage registrar
-Driving License
Residence certificate issued by the Government of India
-Affidavit before the Magistrate stating the date of birth of the applicant.
