CBSE Board Class 10th, 12th Exam 2024 Major Changes: CBSE Board 10th, 12th examinations have started from 15th February. The next session of CBSE board will start in April, while recently CBSE has made many big announcements regarding the 10th and 12th board exams which will be applicable from this session. However, there is no official update on whether it will be implemented in the next academic session i.e. 2024-25 or beyond. New CBSE rules come into effect from 2023-24 session
CBSE Class 12th Accountancy Paper
CBSE Board is now removing the answer sheets in which tables were given for Accountancy subject. The board said that this change will be implemented from the board exam 2023-24. This announcement was made by CBSE in October in a letter addressed to the principals of all CBSE affiliated schools. As per the official announcement, “It is informed that from the Board Examination, 2024 onwards CBSE, based on the feedback received from the stakeholders, has decided to remove the answer sheets in which tables were provided in the Accountancy subject. Like other subjects in Class 12th examination, common line answer sheets will also be provided in Accountancy subject from the 2024 examination.
supplementary examination
Supplementary examination is conducted every year by CBSE for the children who have failed in one or more subjects in the CBSE board examination. However, last year the board had announced that these exams will now be called compartment exams. These examinations are usually conducted in July and their results are released by August. This change is based on the recommendations made in NEP 2020.
special exam for students
CBSE has decided that for students who are participating in National or International Games or International Olympiads and cannot appear in their CBSE Class 10th and Class 12th examinations (February-April), the Board will conduct special examinations at a later date. Certificate of participation will have to be issued by the nodal officers of the respective organizations.
CBSE exam twice a year
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had announced that board exams will be conducted twice a year and students will be allowed to maintain the best scores. However, the ministry's statement in this regard is awaited. No final decision has been taken yet by the government.
two languages from now on
CBSE class 11th and 12th students will have to study two languages from now on and at least one of them should be in an Indian language. The choices of subjects will not be restricted for students. Students will get flexibility in choosing the subject.
